Spring 2022 Meeting for the Boston Austen Book Club - Pride, Prejudice and Other Flavors by Sonali Dev

Boston Austen Book Club - Spring 2022 Meeting

It’s time to make plans for the next BABC meeting!

First, an exciting announcement, which will directly tie into Boston Austen Book Club plans this Spring. Ashland Public Library and MassBay Community College Library will be sponsoring an Author Event with Sonali Dev! https://sonalidev.com/books/
Boston Austen Book Club director (is that my title?) Bridget Eileen will be facilitating the conversation with Sonali Dev. The event is Sat, May 21, from 2-3pm, and you are all invited: https://www.ashlandmass.com/Calendar.aspx?EID=7978
This brings us to the next BABC meeting. It will be Saturday, April 30 at 1pm, and we’ll keep to online (but hopefully can do something in person some time this year!). We will meet to discuss Sonali Dev’s first Austen adaptation, “Pride, Prejudice and Other Flavors.” https://www.amazon.com/Pride-Prejudice.../dp/0062839055
(Note: This is in lieu of “From Mansfield with Love” discussion, as was proposed previously. But there's a change of plans in honor of the upcoming Author Event.)

From Bridget: Basically, I’m enlisting the Boston Austen Book Club to help with me with my Author Talk homework! I figure we can read this work and discuss it together in April, and that will help me with things to discuss in the Author Event in May.
So, thanks in advance for helping me with the Author Event. I hope you can make it to that on May 21 ðŸ˜Š
And I hope you can make it to the next Boston Austen Book Club Meeting on April 30!

Hope you can make the meeting Sat, Apr 30 at 1pm. The video link is NOT in Zoom, but instead in my Webex account for work:
Please make sure you have Webex on your device before heading into the meeting. (Webex functions a lot like Zoom.)
Even if you haven’t finished the work, just join in! I just want to hear from as many people as possible about your thoughts and questions and impressions on the book.
Looking forward to seeing those of you who can make it tomorrow at 1pm!
