The Winter 2020 Meeting of the Boston Austen Book Club will be Saturday, March 28 at 2:30pm. We will meet at our usual spot, the Pleasant Cafe in Roslinale, MA. Since we had a long break between the Fall and Winter meetings, we will be discussing two works at the upcoming meeting: (1) the well-reviewed "Pride" by Ibi Zoboi, and (2) the acclaimed YouTube series, "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries." Our year of Pride and Prejudice is almost over. I thought it would be good to review all that we have read for this thematic year.- Spring 2019: the Harvard edition of the annotated Pride and Prejudice, edited by Patricia Meyer Spacks
- Summer 2019: the first two books in the Bridget Jones series, "Bridget Jones's Diary" and "Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason"
- Fall 2019: a modern take on P&P set in 2000s Pakistan, "Unmarriageable" by Soniah Kamal
