Since it's game 4 of the World Series, and it's Saturday before Halloween/Samhain, I absolutely have a costume picked out and it absolutely is related to the Red Sox and I am aboslutely wearing it for my reading. Just sayin'...The only sad thing is I'll be in New York to watch the Red Sox in the World Series. Seems...wrong...somehow... Nonetheless, I'm very excited to be a featured reader for the St Rocco's Reading Series in Albany, NY. I have never been to Albany, in fact. So I'll be heading there for my poetry reading, and then going somewhere to watch the Red Sox.
And, as I mentioned, since it's happening on the weekend before Halloween, I do plan to dress in costume. Exactly what is a mystery. But stay tuned to my Instagram for pics!
I absolutely love reading my poems at a poetry reading. It's seriously one of my favorite things to do. I love performing for a crowd. I love poetry. I love sharing my work in person with other poets and poetry lovers. Some people are shy about reading their work. Not me. Not even a bit.
