Tasty Brunch in Boston at Rox Diner on Centre St in West Roxbury
Back in the day (3 years ago) this was a go to spot for breakfast when I lived in walking distance. I've eaten there a bunch, but not as often now that I'm in another Boston neighborhood. But if you've got a car and no hangover preventing you from driving for brunch, or you're lucky enough to live nearby, I definitely recommend Rox Diner.
Their homemade hollandaise sauce is delicious! They have a series of delicious variations of Eggs Benedict to showcase it, including my favorite, Eggs Alaska, with lox and capers. But for the budget minded, get this: two egg breakfast with a side of meat or veggie patties is only $6.50! So I went with that (pictured above) and got a side of hollandaise for $1.50.
They also have lunch options, like standard diner fare. And I can't forget the sweet treat burnch options: banana nutella french toast, banana mango pancakes. All kinds of tasty stuff that way.
The atmosphere is very friendly and neighborhood-y. The staff are attentive and friendly. Parking may be a bit tricky, if you're not a fan of parallel parking but there is a small municipal lot nearby.
