Things to Do in Martha's Vineyard: Sunset in Menemsha
From 2003 to 2009 my mother and her bestie were able to rent a cute little cottage in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard for a mere $150 for the entire four days, Friday to Monday, on the Memorial Day and Columbus Day weekends. The woman owned the home outright and no one was renting it, so she put it up for a deep discount and we took advantage of the great deal. I've actually never been to the Vineyard during the busy season. But my was it so fun during these off-season trips. (The woman sold the home in 2009 and our great little discount went away.)
One of my favorite things to do is get seafood chowder and then head to Menemsha and watch the sunset. This photo is of the sunset in October of 2008. Another beautiful spot to see the sunset is nearby Gayhead Lighthouse.
