One seat in the chamber of the Representatives at the Old State Capitol Building in Springfield, IL is permanently reserved for it's most famous alum: President Abraham Lincoln.

When my sister and sister and law got married, it was in this part of the old state capitol building. The guests of the wedding sat here.

The wedding party stood at the front of the chamber, underneath this portrait of George Washington.

My history teacher from 10th grade would be happy to know, I can identify these scroll top columns as ionic. Neo-classic architecture, so pretty.
