Saw this meme on Facebook and couldn't help posting a reply, but have decided not to reply to poster. I'm putting it all here instead:
SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT...If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get 12 yrs. hard labor. If you cross the Afghanistan border illegally, you get shot. Two Americans just got eight years for crossing the Iranian border. On the contrast...if you cross the U. S. border illegally you get: a job, a drivers license, food stamps, a place to live, health care, housing & child benefits, education, & a tax free business for 7 yrs...No wonder we are a country in debt
And is it just me, but are the angriest, mobby-est of the anti-illegal immigrant brigades usually poor white people (whose descendants may or may not have come here legally, but certainly immigrated, considering they're not American Indians) who never once stop to direct their anger at the rich, often white people who greedily hire the illegal immigrant for scandalous wages so that they may make maximum amount of money by exploiting the desire of a human to better his circumstances for his/her self and family at a huge sacrifice to his daily well being?

To which I respond:
So let me get this straight, you want the US to model itself after countries like North Korea, Iran and Afghanistan by treating people unjustly for coming into this country? Considering that more people have been deported under Obama than under Bush, I think you can be satisfied we're heading that way. Name me one illegal immigrant who has a job, a driver's license, a place to live, health care, housing benefits and a owns their own business, by the way. I would like to introduce him to my friends the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.
