Bert MacNeil was Herald’s larger-than-life heart
This is a very nice column about Bert MacNeil, former night city editor for the Boston Herald, who was a close friend of my sister-in-law's family. He died last weekend from pancreatic cancer. Really sucky. I knew him from the times we were both at family parties and he was always such a cool person to talk to. Lots of funny stories and interesting insights. He will be missed by lots and lots of people.
