After reading Jane Austen, I thought I might go read some of the poems written by the poets mentioned in her books: Cowper, Sir Walter Scott, and Lord Byron. Cowper I'd never read but I know from her biography that she liked him very much. Scott and Byron I was exposed to, so to speak, in my early college days and a little bit in high school. But I definitely needed a refresh, so here I am, gathering what work of theirs that I can find on the internet and copy and pasting a sampling into a Word doc, for the fun of it.
I'll give you a report later on about what I think of them, after I've printed this out and read it.
