Good vs Bad Fat - pt 2 - What's good or bad?

What fats are good and what fats are bad? - part 2

Not all fats are bad, that's why it's good to know the difference between "good" and "bad" fats. Bad fats are the ones that are very hard for your body to break down and convert into energy. Good fats are very easy for your body to change into energy.

Fats, under a microscope, come either a long chain or a clumpy-like grouping. The quality of your fat depends on its shape, in the chemistry-type way, from what I can remember my nutrition teacher saying.

Polyunsaturated is the best fat in the converts-to-energy-real-fast type way. Monounsaturated is good-to-okay. Saturated fat is where you get yourself into trouble, as far as zipping up the jeans or avoiding the aspirin regimen, because they're not as easy for your body to convert to energy. And Trans Fats were invented by Satan, pretty much. They stay in you for aeons.

A more in depth definiton of the fats are in the next entry.
