Hooo, what a messed up movie Secretary. I've watched it 5 times total, counting today, since in came out back in 2002.
My God it is so weird. The strange yet alluring sexual tension that comes about from typos, red markers and spankings...The actors are very perfect for it. When I think weird actors, I think James Spader and I think Maggie Gyllenhal.
But what does it all mean? I think that it's an imaginative screenwriter (adaptation, apparently) extended surreal metaphor for a regular old effed up relationship reimagined with an eyebrow raising WTF spin.
