Photo Posting, for Posterity's Sake
I just wanted to post this photo of me from April 2001, when my college friend Stephanie Haywayrd and I were invited to do a poetry reading in the second tent at Bumstock 2001 (a now defunct music festival at UMaine.)
It's Steph Hayward on the right and my face on the left. We knew it was going to be tricky to get drunkard Bumstock goers to pay attention to us, so we read some funny, sexy poems by e e cummings and then threw candy out into the crowd but only if they clapped. That captivated people and got more people in the tent. And that's when read our own stuff. Tee hee. Ah, college.
